what is it?

instantRSS is a simple RSS creator for folks who don't have RSS capability for their site/blog/whatever. As long as a page is marked up appropriately with the <!--instantRSS:xxxxx--> tags, then instantRSS can spit out an RSS file!

where do i get it?

download it from me, and put it on your server.
-or-
enter the page you've marked up with instantRSS tags here:

clicky submit to be taken to the instantRSS for that page.

where can I see it?

Well, you can see the output from parsing this instantRSS tagged file by checking out the demo.

how do i use it?

Check out the usage documentation. (Most of which is also included in the script already).

where'd it come from?

Well, Geoff Noles was telling me he'd like to have an RSS feed for his site, but a) he doesn't have a database on the backend and b) he doesn't do scripting for his site.

what do you want from ME??

well, it's released under the GNU General Public License, so that requires you to make publically available any patches or modifications, and to not take my name / copyright off the code. Also, if you use this, let me know -- I love to hear from you.

If you'd like to slap a button on your site that proudly displays your use of instantRSS, here is an image for you:
